gonna be buying some mufflers for a 92 coupe.

stock motor.

i want it to sound closer to a newer mustang. any suggestions??

X pipe will get it close, no matter what muffler you use it will still sound like an OHV motor, but with an x pipe it will give it that twangy raspiness.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but no mufflers will make it sound even remotely close to a newer dohc 32V motor. But you can make it sound better & more modern with an X pipe & some Magnaflow or Bassani mufflers.

X pipe with Dynomax Race Bullets is the closest sound that you'll get to a mod motor

Shorties and off road x with my spintech pro streets at speed then laying into it have that cobra trumpet sound to it I love it

thanks for all the responses guys. i know there's no was to make it sound exactly like the mod motor. just wanted something different, not the usual flow master mufflers. already go those on my hatch.

looks like x pipe for sure. and ima look into the spintech. then get some new 2.5" lx tips.
