OK SO I'VE BEEN TOLD BY A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT THE ONLY CAMS YOU CAM IN THE STATE OF CAL. THAT WILL PASS EMISSIONS TEST IS E,B, AND TFS1 CAMS.

IS THIS TRUE. WHAT WILL CAUSE A CAR NOT TO PASS EMISSIONS BESIDES NOT HAVING ALL THE VACUUMS HOOKED UP OR STICK HPIPE ON IT.

HELP BECAUSE AFTER READING A COUPLE OF FORMS IT SOUNDS LIKE THE COUNTLESS PEOPLE I TALKED TO MISINFORMED ME.

THANKS,

Charles [patriot]

Im wondering the same thing. But I also want to know if smog pump shit / egr is essential. Id like to ditch all that and clean up my engine bay.

I have personally had and passed smog on e, b, f cams, crane nostalgia cam, and have seen an x cam pass first hand. I'm sure most cams will pass as long as you pass visual and the smog equipment is in otherwise good condition

To pass smog legitimately every piece of smog equipment is necessary otherwise you'll fail visual. Especially since most of our cars have to go to star stations now. They're getting really picky

It really depends on the smog tech. Some may require you to have the actual carb so sticker for the cam, some will accept your word, but that seems less and less likely. I had a smog tech fail my bronco because the charcoal filter was missing a cap. The cap does nothing but keep debris from entering the filter.

Do you have a E cam card?
What's your setup?

did this cam barely pass or were their tricks employed to pass. What is the condition of your car,is it a solid running problem free car. Tuned?

Smog is such a problem now and it seems to get more strict. They should have a smog exception if you pay extra during registration...or a tax stamp.

I like that idea. I think it would go over real well.
