Anyone own or use one of these? Worth buying? I've got 2 dead Optimas (blue and Red Tops) was able to get the blue to work for awhile but doesn't really hold a charge. red is only 2yrs old and if i don't drive the car 2 or 3 times aweek it goes dead.

any regular battery charger should work if the batterys not fried. they recommend 6a for 12hrs

Battery Tender brand are really the best, they keep from overcharging, sort of set and forget. I use them for my cars during winter when they are not driven and work perfectly. I use something made by Schumacher which is 30 dollars at pepboys

tenders work great, but will not charge a completely dead battery

Some chargers aren't smart enough to know its a gell batt and kick off seen it happen. When it does you use a fully charged battery in line to charge it back up
