That happened to my boys 4.6. The thing that caused it was that the clutch was sticking. It could be that.

Thanks guys for all the advice problem was centerforce clutch was installed on car with stock clutch cable so it didnt grab to good so i went with quadrent n adjustable cable the MAIN PROBLEM for the LAGG was a severely CLOGGED FUEL FILTER...AGAIN THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICES CAFORDS

Yeah I was like wtf I don't know what could cause a sticking clutch though. We just swapped it out and it drove fine
