with afr 165s, your cobra intake have the lower ported, stock cam n 1.7 rockers and you're at the 300rwhp mark
good combo

The 165's are good for mild n/a motor.
If you get some get the pedestal mount ones and make sure u have the right pedestal rocker arms to go with them. I think they are like 3/8th's or 7/16th's. cant remember tho. once u get that stuff and a cam the swap is relatively easy because with the pedestal mounts u dont have to adust the rockers just bolt em on n go.

165's are pretty small heads

The 165cc intake ports are kinda small but all afr heads are cnc ported so the flow a lot better...

Pedestals only come in one size, 5/16". 3/8" and 7/16" are stud mounts.

Bigger isn't always better.
165s will be perfect with your stock motor. I'd just sell the cobra intake and put that money towards a Holley Systemax and some 1.7 rockers.

im with streakmatt and cornoil on this, especially with the combo listed, not saying its not possible just this would have to be a stock eliminator setup for me to believe it. Fully gutted, massive gear, huge cam, proshifted etc.

Op afr 165cc heads are a very good set of heads. I had them on my 88 coupe. It went 12.5's @ 108 in a full weight 88 with road race set up, 100% smog legal. Meaning every single piece of smog equipment was on the car, even the cats. I switched from Tw heads and picked up a tenth. Fastest it ran with the Tw, was 12.6 @ 110 with cats. Made the switch & lost 1.5 mph out the back, yet still picked up enough on the small end and threw the middle to net a tenth. 306, b cam, gt-40 tubed intake.

I went 12.60 at 106 with my AFR 165 combo. e-cam, 1.7 roller rockers, professional products knock off edlebrock intake, MT et streets. tremec 3550RR transmission, 3.73 gears, underdrive pulleys, mac shorty headers, with o/r h-pipe, 2 chamber flows. 91 lx hatch. no driver mod. I cannot remember my 60'. 11.09 does seem like a far stretch w/o any power adder. or major compression. or more cubes.
