Okay I have a stock 4 cat. system with rear bumper exit exhaust added 2 chamber Flowmaster Super 44's after doing what I thought was good research, but my stone stock 1994 sn95 5.0 Auto.exhaust sounds like 'Ole Grand dads 1964 pick up truck with a 289! I am a relative NEWBIE since I have only owned the red convert. since Nov.. My engine is stone stock and the flows are mounted right before the rear end loop all pipes are stock.Everyone of you other "Stang Guys cars sound Awesome5.0 and 4.6 alike!!What the hell am I doing wrong! I have seen single chamber "10's" mounted right before the tips on some sn95s on websites! Is that the trick! I don't want to run off road no cats if I can 'Cuz I am too fat and lazy to crawl under there every two years to appease the SMOG GODSAre the Cats. Killing the tone??!!WTF??? Ideas? Helllllpppppp!! Thanks in advance!

Ahaa! The Cats. are killing the tone! So I guess there is NO WAY of leaving the stock pipe on even if I go single chamber before the tips! Whadoya Think?

Pretty much bud, the only way u are gonna notice a significant change in the tone from the exhaust is by getting rid of the factory catalytic system. if u wanna actually no what a 5.0 sounds like gotta get that stock h pipe off n het an offroad h or x pipe. i prefer h

How the freak do they make those brand new stone stock 5.0 's sound so awesome 'goin through all that Smog plumbin'?

Its really not that hard, maybe an hour or two at best. Spray the headers bolts with wd40 before u loosen so they dont brake or strip. Also helps to have an extra hand around because loosening those header bolts can be a pain. otherwise it should be a breeze and very rewarding learning experiece for u as once u fire it up with the offroad hpipe u will immediately know the differnce n hear the new sound. I can remember when I changed my first, dozens later I can do it blindfolded

My Bad ! What I meant was I the 2013 5.0 power plants, I was behind one the other day in traffic that I assume was all stock (dealer plates still)and heard an AWESOME GROWL!! I realize it is a completely diffr. set up from my 'ole rig but man have they come along way with stock cool sounding exhaust even through all the emissions choke holds!

right, they are far more advanced and certainly sound alot better thru stock emissions equipment. but then again thats like comparing mobydick to a guppyfish
