I'm looking for a new water pump for my engine and noticed that a couple of places lists two different part numbers for '79-'85 pumps and '86-'93 pumps. Anyone know what the difference is between the two?

It might be the option of running serpentine or V belt so there's two different part numbers.

Standard or reverse rotation. If you got a v belt you want standard

The rotation of the pumps impeller. When I bought my 85 it had the wrong rotation pump and fan on it. That was quite the lesson. Hey Adam.
