Gears, Full exhaust w/shorty headers and 2.5" h or x pipe, 1.7 roller rockers, underdrive pulleys, ported maf, ported throttle body, advance timing with good fuel, explorer intake manifold, drag radials for the track, remove air silencer, change air filter to k&n, long tube headers, upgraded fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, electric fan are all good ways to start for mods.
Other mods that are free are weight savings. Removing stuff like a/c, power steering, power windows etc all save weight.

I wouldnt bother with any of those mods above.... You are better off saving 1-1.5k and buying a supercharger kit, much more bang for your buck there--- Change the upper/lower intake manifolds to a cobra intake, edl rpm/rpmII or holley systamx- a bigger throttle body-75mm and run hard an still pass smog all day. thats whats up.
