Have a 89 Gt block rebuilt. 30 over and 28oz crank already balenced and installed.
It seems its a hastle because shops told me that

Yes we can put a 28oz harmonic and flywheel but theirs still a chance it will be off balence

I say in my head well isn't that why you have a shop install it so you know everything works out

Should I leave it 28oz

Or what do I need to do to convert it back to 50oz
Take off 28oz
I have the 50oz off my other motor or buy another 50oz
But then what do I just reinstall the 50oz and everything is fine or does it need special "doings" from a machine shop

To go back to 50oz, you will need the crank, flywheel and balancer.

Uhhhh........most strokers go 28oz.

Just buy a 28oz dampner and a 28oz flywheel to accept a 10.5 clutch

Dude, you seem to be hung up on this 28oz thing. If you have the right balancer and flywheel, then you're good to go. The motor imbalance has nothing to do with the function of any other system. Like Turbo50 said, most stroker kits are 28oz, so I'm not sure what your concern is. Run it like you stole it.

OK I leave it alone I've never built a motor so I should respect what you guys are saying being very reputable and building motors.

89 block was goanna be put in a 69 mustang by previous owner who rebuilt it to those specs but owner sold it to me and I'm putting it in my 89
