I am rebuilding a motor and i need the name of a good machine shop to balance my rotating assembly. Im in oakland and already have s&s machine (booked til nxt year), al hubbard, and s&p automotive. Any others out there in the hayward, san leandro, oakland, berkeley,richmond, vallejo, union city, fremont, concord, maybe dublin area?

Tri valley machine in Pacheco is a quality machine shop.
Ive Been goin there for years for blocks and heads.
My dads been goin there since the mid 80s

Wow, I just had a set of heads magnafluxed by them about a year ago. They even had specials going on for the month of October

If it is still there...

J&M Machine in San Leandro near Davis street. Kind of in a odd location but he was/is the teacher at chabot for some of the auto classes too.

Old school guy calls his measurements in cunt hairs instead of thousandths [Smile]

Been many years since I have been that way though.

Jerry is the F'in man!! He is funny as hell. But he is no longer at Chabot because they'd rather have Mr Small be the machining teacher [Roll Eyes]

Jerry knows his stuff though. Been machining for about 50 years.
