adding a twin turbo kit to my 89 block specs: edelbrock upper and lower rpm intake 24lb injectors rebuilt block new gaskets ac delete smog delete march bracket bbk cold air introduction e 303 cam gt 40 cast iron heads 1.7 crane cam rockers. Will this block hold a twin turbo with a 6lb boost?

not sure the kit says that it will bring 700 horses to a stock block but mine has a e 303 cam not sure if its gonna be good for boost along with the gt 40 cast iron heads i no im going to need more pounds of boost i think the kit comes with 42lb injectors.

The answer is "it depends". There are a lot of things that could fail besides the block. You are definitely on the edge. What compression are you running?

Your fuel system should be upgraded (42lb injectors and upgraded pumps, etc). Also, get it tuned. Lastly use an intercooler.

Here is a simple mathematical formula for what power you should expect, but first we need to know what kind of power your car would make Naturally Aspirated. I am going to estimate that your car is making between, 230rwhp and maybe about 260ftlbs of torque N/A. A naturally aspirated motor operates at an atmospheric pressure of about 14.7 psi. So to double the horsepower you would have to add another 14.7 psi to be at about 460 horsepower, but as you have had said, you only intend to run about 6psi. So, you would see roughly a 50% increase in horsepower which would put you at about 345 horsepower to the wheels. So yes, a stock block would hold up to that kind of power just fine. And though a kit is rated to 700rwhp that does not mean that you are going to make that or anywhere near that if you do not have the supporting mods, i.e. better heads, cam and intake, fuel system and maybe internals.

well the kit comes with a intercooler everything needed from turbo to hedders im not planning on using ten lbs of boost i mean 6 lbs on each turbo should be pushing it im not sure wat the compression is because i just did all the little upgrades but im buying the twin turbo kit soon first i was gonna run it with the cam rockers and so forth den purchase the kit and add it on the kit even comes with the injectors all im going to need would be a good tuning

maybe
minimum of 255lb fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator
air/fuel meter

you said it comes complete but just incase injectors should range in the 30-45lb range
with matching mass air meter

also alot of ppl blow their headgaskets easy with just one turbo and you wanting a twin, idk!!! i would think after a month of abuse youd blow a gasket somewhere

but i hope it works out for you...
