How can i check if my car is getting spark cuz its turning over but not starting up

what car? if its a foxbody, take a spark plug and hook it onto the number 1 wire, then ground the plug onto the frame of the car and have a friend crank the motor and you should see spark!!

Yes its a fox. If i take the wire off the coil it should spark to right?
