depends what u want to do with it.
the torsion unit is great for road racing where u dont want a full time posi as to loose traction but dont want a wheel spin either. it just gives the outside or gripping tire the traction. does not do doughnuts though.and will break if used for such things.and will need rearend rebuild to install
the Detroit locker is a full time as long as your on the gas posi.if your on the gas both wheels are locked posi. this is my favorite.will never break but will give cornering under the gas problems cause it wants to break the inside tire loose. well need rear end rebuilt to install
but the stock posi, clutch stly posi that come stock in these late model mustangs, is a very good hard to beat unit. carbon fiber clutches with a f 150 spring or just there kit stock comes in that set up. is a great way to go. i haven't had one wear out yet. Ive installed many!!!!! for the last 5 years at least. its a true take off from the line both wheels grab posi, it does give a lil under cornering and wont wana spin out on u. kit is 115 dollars, me 100 bucks for labor, maybe 50 buck in fluid. does not need the rearend rebuilt to install. pretty much anybody could install this unit with a lil experience.
