im dumping random codes, they sometimes go away

i was concerned at first with the 91 and 96 codes....i cleaned some stuff, connections, tested some switches and replaced some sensors

reset the computer and ran it for about 20 miles mixed

KOEO now just an 11, good
but KOER got a 12,94,44

there is no smog on the car, all removed properly, and i dont think those codes cause trouble

cylinder balance test showed a 9...good

so, here is my REAL question...

i think i have issues with my IAC, i cleaned it and it looked great

when testing it...do i want to ever test with KOEO ? or always running

while running i got from the red wire to engine ground , NO 12v ever , just some ranging voltage from .020-.050

on the red to white/blue i got ranging only in the 6v range

nothing as low as 1 or high as 12...... all 6v ranges

from where should i start to look for whats wrong? wiring, the IAC itself? connections ?

any help is appreciated

you will never see full 12v coming from a sensor. the ecu only works from the 0v to 6v range. if the sensor is giving off something higher that 6v and the ecu see's that it throws a code. that's how it knows there's a fault

Have you cleaned the 10-pin connectors (salt/pepper shakers)

There might be 12v going to a sensor but never 12v as an output. That's what I meant.

may need some of the smog junk on with the vacuum lines connected for the efi to run right+to not get codes. The sensors behind the shock tower to be connected I think.


91 - o2 Sensor Circuit Indicates Lean -driver side(R), No o2 Sensor Switching Detected. always lean -driver side(CM), Shift Solenoid 1 Circuit Failure (O)
O2 sensors old ?Aod?

96 - Fuel Pump Circuit Open-Battery To PCM (CM,O)
Maybe disconnect the battery overnight
44 - Secondary Air System Inoperative. bank one, passenger side
Probably getting this code from having the heads smog crossover pipe removed/ pluged.

Firsst I'd Disconnect the battery overnight.
Clean the Mass sensor and checking the voltage of the TPS while your at it.
