well.....listen to it ?

but you can look for black as well. but exhaust leaks are the easiest things to fix since they make noise

run your had by your exhuast an feel hot air blown on your hand you found your leak

Get some copper tube about 12"long, bend a L shaped hook at one end, then connect the other end to a stethoscope, its good for picking up on hard to find vacuum leaks too ....

Get a small plastic hose and on one end set it to wear you think the leak is at then put your ear in the other end.you'll hear a sputter when your close to the leak .also run it around your header bolts and by the header gasket.

check your header gaskets you could have old busted ones. that what i had when i had a leak. cheap fix.

Problem fixed late model restoration sent me the wrong gasket too big got a oe gasket no leak
