I would too

I've heard of people getting can tunes from Kurgan then the customer datalog with the can tune in and send the datalog to Kurgan for some fine tweaking.

IMO it's best to get a custom tune while on a dyno.

I wouldn't mess with mail order tunes since they aren't made specificly your car N ur setup N kuz they're most likely made in bulk.

Mail order tunes are like mail order brides......they always look better on paper [Wink]

I was the first person around here with a mail order tune From Bob Kurgan. Never seen a dyno and my Fox ran 10.09 @ 139. So I would say it worked. Unfortunately Bob isnt doing them anymore Jeff.

I wouldnt see a mail order tune working unless you had a device like a PMS or a Moates etc. The shop could then walk you through tuning with an AFR gauge . If it was me I would just pony up for a real tune, cutting corners always seems to cost more in the long run.

I am considering this as well for my 98 cobra until I can get a supercharger put on and a real tune.

Do it,they give you free tunes for life with the puchase of the chip, wich can hold 4 different tunes, such as 91, and 100 oct, You tell them the mods they setup your tune.

The only thing i am unsure about with my tunes on my truck is for the transmission, sometimes it seems it shifts too hard.

You think this guy is the way to go over the typical american muscle.com tune? I guess I will believe you since you are family.

I have been tuning with Tweecer and Moates for a while now and I can tell you that in the long run you will be better off doing the tuning yourself. You would be shocked as to the lack of "tuning" in some mail order tunes.
