so after bringing the car in for the 3rd time for missfire issues and my dpfe hose blowing off and melting ford has finally said that it was an issue with the heads and they replaced both wich came out to be 7k that warranty paid for. well i picked up my cobra thursday then took off with the family in my rental f150 to reno and tahoe. well i came back sat returned the rental to ford hopped in the cobra that night and............  -  - im not one to bash but come on i think the evidence speaks for itself. i will be dropping the car off monday morning for the fourth time on the same issue.

is your mid pipe stock? if so did the check the backpressure before the cats? sounds like a restricted cat causing excess pressure.

time/mileage/bad gas/getting hot enough.

my old `97 gmc truck killed the cats twice in 3 years, and the 2nd set were dealer bought OE. One of the reasons I only use the cats when I have to do a smog test...don't feel like spending $750 for 2 years of functional cats [Roll Eyes]
