has anyone done this yet with 95 cobra brake setup (front and rear) on a fox body? im curious how the pedal feels. the master cylinder is only 1/8" larger than stock so im hoping i can get away with using a rebuilt stock one instead of a 93 cobra or sn95 booster

sure it will work but for 100$ why not buy the correct master cylinder...

It is...95 cobra m/c and 95 cobra brakes all around. Theyre made to work together

My 93 4-cyl has cobra brakes all around with, from what I believe, is the stock 4-cyl master cylinder and brake booster. It does have a Ford Racing proportioning valve thats turned all the way up. It stops fine but the pedal does feel a bit low. Is this setup not "correct?"

You have to do a bigger/better m/c. The stock mc on those cars can barely handle bigger front brakes and drum brakes require a LOT less pressure than disc so if your running disc in the rear you are probably barely even using them and that's why you have a squishy peddle.

You can run a 95 gt m/c on a stock fox booster with those brakes and be good, one of the guys on the board here just did that swap and it solved his problems.

Would a 95 GT master cylinder be a direct swap or would there need to be modifications done?

easiest way to tell if the m/c is stock or not is if it has 3 lines or 2 coming out of it. The stock drum m/c's uses 3 lines (front left/right + rear), while disc m/c's like the 93 cobra or 95gt uses 2 lines (front + rear).

the biggest difference between the right m/c + booster combo and the wrong one, is if it's too small the brake pedal will be SUPER hard to push.

Its a direct fit, you just have to get a fitting to.put the two rear lines into one as the new mc has two lines coming out of it and the old has three as mentioned. Other than that, get an external proportioning valve and your good. There is even a little couple already in the line that you replace the valve with
