Today i went to the junkyard looking for a 8.8 rear end from a gt for my 7.5 rear end.
Wasn't able to find any rear ends. i went to fairfield to check out the junkyard but their was only 2 sn95's (v6's) and 1 fox body gt. Well i didnt find any rear ends but then i went to the crown vic area and decided to take a look at a 97 crown vic rear end lo and behold their was a 8.8 3:27 rear end. What i wanted to know is will it swap with my 7.5 rear end if i switch over the stuff from my 7.5? i do have heavy mechanical tools such as plasma cutter and welder so its not a big deal. What i also wanted to know is. What other rear ends from cars will swap over to my sn95 97 3.8 v6 so i can have a 8.8 rear end with a posi ?
Can you also be specific as to what model/year/car? Thanks alot guys!

in 1-2 weeks i will go check out stockton pick n pull because they have on their website that they got 30-45 mustangs on their lot. [Big Grin]

That 30-45 mustangs in stockton is crap.the regular picknpull has like 2 that are always gutted, the picknpull next to that (charges more to get in) has like 8 mustangs and usualy one or 2 are gt's i was just there today and i didnt notice any v8s but i wasnt lookin for that.last i remember there was one sn95 gt there

Well looking around the net im seeing we can also get a rear end from a ranger/ explorer the 4.0 L 4x4 has 3 73's and the 96-97 have 4:10's. all i want is a 8.8 with a posi the gears would be a bonus to me lol. the bad thing is that i didnt know about the ranger/explorers and i only looked at mustangs when i went to pick n pull in FF.
