I have a Pro 5.0 and am pretty happy with it. I can't compare it to anything as this is the first short shifter I've had.
Others I've read about are the MGW and Tri-Ax.

I have had pro 5.0 for both a T-5 and the current tremec i have. I like the actual handle that comes with them. I havent had any issues with them. Friend of mine had a Tri-ax, and broke the threads off the aluminum handle part.

I have had Hurst, Pro 5.0, and now a MGW... MGW is great I really like it. But I loved my Pro 5.0 too. MGW uses all really good material and I like the install kit.

ANY shifter is better than stock

FYI the stocker is made by hurst...you can remove the rubber bushing assy. and replace with shorter bolts or shims for a more solid feel, and crisper shifts.

a short throw will make a little bit easier than that...but the biggie IMO is the "mushy" rubber bushings

i have used hurst, pro 5.0, b&m and not even sure who else

i really have no pref...but most comfy to me is old skool hurst, with the tall chrome handle

I've used. MGW, tri-ax, and Pro 5.0

Nothing beats the pro 5.0 and it's 3rd gear... Never miss it... Correct me if I'm wrong but it's spring loaded.

Heard the SVO is Rollin hard. Is this true? I'm almost done and will be ready for you playa'

+1 Hurst all the way. I've had the pro 5.0, and modified shorter arm stock shifters and the Hurst is by far the most smooth and has stops on both sides for perfect adjustment
