Ok I have a 331 stroker afr 185 heads a comp cam and its sitting at 10.5 to 1 compresion. I am looking at either going with nutritious soon or looking at saying screw it and add some real fun. Btw this is in a 1994 gt with 42lb injectors. Trying to get input on this from some others who have possibly done something like this. It's also a stock block with 4340 I beams and forged Keith black flat top pistons thanks for all ur help.

even though a 10.5-1 comp ratio isn't ideal, you can theoretically run a supercharger. But I would run low boost to be safe.

Yeah that's what I was thinking will be using water meth as well just not sure at how many lbs of boost will be safe. I am just looking into this so its still not set in stone but I like the idea of not having to pay for bottles of nitrious like I could but like the idea of the up front cost and power being there all the time vs by a switch

Just run 6-8 lbs and get it tuned and you should be fine. It will make good power too with the right cam in place.

That's another thing I will have not sure which system but going to go with a standalone probably the pms through Anderson or AEM so tunning I will have some options with that as well

I wouldn't push much more than that with a stock block [patriot]

What's that the 6-8 lbs? I know its also got a girdle on it and all that other stuff but yes I won't be pushing it much pass that [Smile]

Girdles just hold the engine together when they break. I will be running 10-15psi of turbo boost on a 10.5:1 engine, but I'll be inner cooled and running E-85.

Would love to do e85 but that's one thing we don't have in redding but that is were the watermeth will make it up for that plus will be getting a boost a pump and some other safety measures. Guess just see and start low and see what I get out of it

6-8 lbs of boost ...... 6-8 psi .

What kind of supercharger will you be running ?

If it's a procharger system they come intercooled, Vortech also offers an aftercooler for their systems.

I am looking at a vortex

For the price of what a Vortech kit will cost , new or used., you would be better off buying an on3performance turbo kit or an eBay boostbrothers kit. With the same amount of boost in comparison to the supercharger it would make more power.

I will look into that I don't have any issues with going turbo over supercharger at all. Thanks for the input btw what size injectors do u think I shall run I will be installing the complete aeromotive fuel kit and currently have 42lb injectors shall I look at 60s or bigger?

Some 60# injectors would be good with this M.A.F.M.

Ya that would be good for the type of setup you are looking for. Check out snowperformance meth kits. I think theres a couple different stage setups that they offer. Also anderson ford motorsports has a meth kit available.
