might have to run convertible mounts, they're 2 inches lower than standard motor mounts, and as i recall they're preffered because they're sturdier but don't transfer noise and vibration like poly mounts.

Yeah I was planing on running conv mounts and just trying to get away with a stock hood kinda would like a sleeper look after its painted

ya i hear ya, I kept my car all stock wheel wize and hood wize, little did they know i was cam'd aluminum headed and s-trimmed. especially rolling on the ugly 15 inch ten spokes.

Lol I'll look stock but with a lowering and 18 inch fr 500s I can't stand stock wheels

convertible motor mounts are taller. not 2in shorter.

I got convertible mounts from haulinass motorsports that i saw him take out of a drop lx, they dropped my engine 2 inches.had to extend the main vaccum to the brake booster.

i bought brand new convertible mounts from the autoparts store to raise my motor for header clearance. and it help alot. never heard of vert mounts being lower.

I think vert mounts drop the motor 3/4 inch.

You can always buy drop mounts.

Is a 1" intake spacer really worth all the hassle? I have seen people blow money on mounts, and a cowl hood including the coast to paint the hood just to clear an intake spacer. Doesn't make sence IMO.

I'm running ford racing polished tall valve covers running rockers and gt40 tubular dnt clear valve covers with out a 1 inch spacer and trying to keep my stock hood dnt Wana spend on a cowl hood at the moment and I heard qa1 tubular k-member drops the engine as swell any one done this similar set up.

It would be easier/cheaper and an all around better idea to just get different valve covers...

+1, stock height vc will clear 1.6's with the baffle removed..

I know they clear I like the ford facing polish finish tall covers instead all my motor is the color of the car polish and Chre under the hood
