89 mustang. Getting ready to change tranny fluid. Any recommendations on brand? Is it as simple as draining by pulling the plug and filling through the fill plug? Thanks

Yep that simple, just pick your favorite brand of ATF.

Buy the cheapest Dex/Merc Automatic transmission fluid you can find. They're all the same. And yes.. Dex/Merc ATF for a T5

Find the cheapest Dec/Mer III ATF that the store has.

Best of luck.

I actually have a different recommendation:
A good synthetic (Mobile1, Amsoil, Royal Purple)
I have done this to a large amount of T5's, not only mine but customers and have seen these run smoother and shift easier with the synthetics.
