I have a 98 gt , That just started making a knocking noise in the rear last night. Sounds like it's coming from the driver side rear. You can hear it best at low speeds. 4 or 5 mph. Can hear it when the clutch is in or out. So i put the car on Jack stands and and put it 1st gear let it spin. And can't see or hear anything. Any ideas?

Check your exhaust maybe your gears are skipping at low speeds cause lack of fluid moving around

Check your calipers and bracket bolts. Also check the brake pad hardware. Maybe broken or missing clip/hardware.
