there are 2 bolts that attach the PS pump. one is a nut that fastens down and the other is a bolt that threads into the block..the bolt that threads into the block, does it sit flush against the bracket or is there a small gap (which i have)...ive tightened it down but it wont go anymore, leaving a small gap...

thanks

throw a washer in there. bolt might be too long if its not the original one. just put a washer in and problem solved

Just went out and checked my 89 and there shouldn't be a gap; it pulls up tight to the accessory bracket.
