Hey everyone. So im doing a little budget build. I picked up some heads and intake from a 97 ford explorer at the junkyard....im putting a e303 cam with svo 1.6 roller rockers. My question is, as far as the valve springs, should i upgrade them, or keep thr stock ones....ive heard about upgrading to double spring, but not quiet sure what to do in this case...any suggestions? where to get em and how much?

Deffinetley upgrade springs. Don't want to risk getting valve float!

Upgrade for sure I'd clean en up real good and have fhe valve seats and seals done too might as well since you have them out of the car.

I know ur on a budget like u stated in the post...i was in da same boat wen i got my gt40z, but i said fuck it. il just spend the money on a tfs spring kit & a 3angle valve job...yea i went into my budget more than wat i intended, but it will be worth it when im driving around smashing on it nt worrying about floating a valve..oh and make sure u get sum new head bolts also thyer only like 45 bucks

yea u should do the upgrade.if i woulda had the money for the tfs valve spring upgrade kit i woulda been able to use my 1.7s but since i didnt do the upgrade i wasnt able to!

THANK U EVERYONE FOR UR OPINIONS AND SUCH....IMA GO LOOK FOR THE TFS SPRING UPGRADES...ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW IF ARP MAKES HEAD BOLTS FOR GT40P HEADS???OR ARE THEY THE SAME??
