my motor mount just snapped a few days ago...just wondering if i can just jack the engine up to replace them.

where under the engine is a good place to hold all that weight?

beshides the motor mounts, do i need to unbolt anything else?

if u dnt have accses to a engine hoist get u a piece of 2x4 an place it right under the curved part of the front sump of oil pan! an the mounts are the only thing u have to unbolt

disconnect the battery J.I.C if you are running a stock fan/clutch the shroud will need to be unbolted i always un bolt the vacumme tree at the fire wall so it dont get crushed as for lifting it thats up to you. hoist, tree limb and a chain fall or ramps and a jack or a lift truck if you have acces to one

Thanks fellas...will do this as soon as my new ones come in. Have electric fan so I think imma just unbolt the motor mounts.

Just in case I get this right, the 2x4 won't bend the oil pan right?

The 2x4 spreads the load out so you wont dent your oil pan in. Keep a close eye on it as you jack it up making sure your not damaging anything and go slow. You can always try jacking it up on the bellhousing too.

Jack the engine up then stick a 4x4 under the balancer to hold it up.
