Ok so I kinda screwed myself thought I had a 351 Cleveland but turned out to be modified which is very similar but I keep hearing the modified has a taller deck height & different bell-housing.
What am I gona have to do to get that into my FoxBody '88 Mustang??
Anyone with any tips would be so much appreciated...

a lot of work to make less power with more weight than a simple h/c/i 302 would.

the 351m does have a taller deck height, along with the larger version of it, the 400m. it uses the same bellhousing and motor mounts as a big block ford 385 series (429/460). they do use the same style cylinder head as a 351C, so you could bolt on a set of 4v Cleveland heads, or 2v which is about the same as the 351M/400M came with.

ya we have 6 or 7 sets of the 4v closed chamber heads also. the only problem with using those on a 351M or 400M is findind an intake that would fit. with the taller deck height you would have to make a spacer and use a 351 Cleveland intake manifold. there are only a few manifolds for the 351m/400m and they are all for low end torque (cuz its a truck engine) and only fit the 2v heads which are pretty much the same as what the M's have

sell it. That 351 has a big block bellhousing bolt pettern and weighs as much as a 460. Might as well put in a 460.
