i currently have magnapacks with 2 hi flow cats and bbk shorty's and i wanted to make the car louder and faster so was gonna remove my cats but i am getting mixed answers that if i remove my cats with a performance muffler i loose torque...is this true?

ive never heard that, just run a off road x-pipe and call it a day

Youll lose a lil in the bottom end torque but gain hp's at the higher rpm's, gotta give to get

off road h pipe is the way to go and you should run longtubes not shorties

You aren't going to to go any faster with the removal of the cats but you will definately enjoy the sound of the magnapaks more with an off road x pipe. As for Mr. Long Tubes comment about not running shorties, that really depends on what modifications you have done, In most street car applications there isnt too much benefit other than the sound

With my shortys and X pipe i did not feel anything hp wise. Went with LT and h-pipe and felt that torque and the sound is sick with borla xr1's
