All depends upon which parts are used
MK7 5 lug replacement rotors or SN95 front ?
Rear 5 lug drum or disc brakes ?

3 weeks to get all the parts, 3 hours to put it all together.

The rear end is the easy part and goes pretty quick. Took me about 45 minutes.

With a SN95 front setup it all really depends on the tools you have. With the right tools you could do it in 1-2 hours. Also you'll have to adjust your alignment quite a bit. If you're just swapping in Mark VII rotors that takes 30min.

Helpful Tools:
Ball Joint Separater
Power Drill
Air Tools(impact gun, air ratchet etc)
Ratchets/Sockets/Extensions/Wrenches
Breaker Bars
5/16" Wrench(for inside rear axle)
Oil Transfer Pump
Flarenut Wrenches
Sledge Hammer
One Man Brake Bleeder Kit(if installing by yourself)
Several Floor Jacks and Jack Stands(if not using a lift)

Parts Needed:
Rear Axles
Rear Drums
New Brake Lines
SN95 Complete Front hub/spindle assembly

Things To Do:
Alignment
Bleed Brakes

This is just what I can think of off the top of my head. There may be more that I forgot.
