I did mine about 5 years ago. Definitely a pain in the ass. In fact it turned into a total pain in the ass. I got the core in and put the dash and interior back together then went to the engine compartment to finish up. As I was pushing the last hose onto the heater core the tube broke where it was soldered to the core. I then lost control and killed everyone within a 1 mile radius. No not really, but I did go another 6 months without heat.

I've changed mine in my 70 it was a pain that's why I don't have most my interior in it still hopefully ford still make heater cores cause the napa ones suck had 2 go out on me in 2 months so no more heat in the 70 im gonna pay someone to install one in my 96 when I finish my black interior swap with dash
