Ok so my fox was parked for about 2weeks finally drove it to work yesterday and as soon as I got on the street noticed my tranny whining alot only gear it dont do it on is 4th its like I gas it you can hear it but when you let go and its still in gear it will whine louder out of gear no whine at all added some gear oil yesterday took it for a spin no help am going to take out again see if any improvements what you guys think thnks in advance..... O yea t5 92 fox gt changed my clutch about 5 months ago I have been told my pressure plate might be loose I also replaced my cable about 1 month ago (adjustable) before it will whine but not as bad..

NO ...............
T5's use ATF fluid NOT gear oil
Drain it FAST and get the right fluid in there

Sounds like a bad input bearing if it goes away in 4th.

pilot bearing. and also drain ur shit mane. ur gonnna blow ur tranny fast.

something with 4th. i forget if its the bearing or not but it could be the gear. if it goes away when 4th is engaged its because its spinning all together and doesnt create the whine. lmk if im wrong

sounds like an input shaft bearing to me. if it was a throw out bearing or pilot bearing it would whine all the time not just in certain gears. when your going to 4th gear your running on the main shaft and its not getting loaded from the counter shaft.... (atleast i think thats how it worked lol its been a while)
