hey yall i just got a screamin deal on some old school 351 heads and want to give porting a shot i got some good carbide bits and sweet little angle die grinder now i just need some advice how much to eat them walls away intake and exhaust and bowl work should i try it or let a pro handle it.....lmk

What year of motor did u get them off couse some from 69 to like 75 intake ports are matchd to gasket

Smooth out the casting marks to start with. Get comfortable with your grinder before you go balls out.

YEAH they got bumps but im sure it nothin a little penicillin couldnt take care of ......lol......grind them away or will that give me an undesirable port hole

From what I understand the exhaust ports are improved a good deal by removing them. I have a pair my dad started a bunch of years ago, the finished one would make a good template for comparison. I'll try and get some good pictures. Hell,I'd even let you borrow them. If your interested I can bring them with me next time I roll down to vv.
