i want to paint some interior pieces in my 92 lx convertible. I want to paint the back pannels black to match the rest of the interior. i was wondering what are the proper steps when it comes to painting these pieces? best way to prep, best paint to use? I want to make it look as good as possible. all help is appreciated, thanks CAFORDS

Take out the pieces you want to paint and lay them in the sun. Get automotive interior black paint at orchard or anywhere. 10-12 inches away and spray away. I did like 3 coats on my old arm rests and they came out better than new!

out in the sun, wash with dish washing soap like Dawn.
use a green scotch bright scrubbing pad
50resto sells factory matched paint, but I found the duplicolor interior dye semi gloss black paint from your local auto parts store matches the factory black perfectly

I always just dusted mine..never used armoral. Held up fine being arm rests they got some good use. Did the center arm rest too and came out great. IMO the more coats the better.

6 years on mine and barely any wear, just avoid scratching it with something. I clean mine like normal, 303 aerospace protectant on a microfiber.
it's still hard to tell which parts are factory black, and which I dyed.
