im trying to bring my 1990 5.0 convertable back to life. i just towed it to the shop yesterday to get it looked at, long story short, i think its best to just put in a new engine. they are asking about 5000+ to do that but i dont have that kind of money right now. thats more than what i even paid for the car itself. in the beginning they seemed helpful but now i get the feeling theyre just trying to get over on me.
if you have or know of anyone selling an engine, id really appreciate the help. please send details with the price and milage.
also, id need some help putting it in. wish i could do it myself but i dont have the right tools/equipment/knowledge to do it but id love to learn and work on my own car with a good, trustworthy mechanic that i feel comfortable with.
ANY help is appreciated!
thanks!

you can get a complete 5.0 engine for about 450-550 depends on the miles and etc. dropping the motor in and pulling the old one out isnt that hard. some people on this board can help you do this.
