So I bought a 1991 Mercury Sable the other day. The car is extremely clean, reads 73k on the clock (as clean as this thing is I am inclined to believe that is the actual mileage). It has a 3.8L v6 and AXODE auto trans.
The problem with the car is, it won't move. You can shift through the gears, but the car just sits there and revs, won't actually move in any gear (forward or reverse).
What are some possible reasons for this? Thanks.

seen the pump shaft strip out the converter several times but those transmissions have so many problems you are gonna have to open it up to see whats goin on
