I've got a friend with a 91' notchback. He was asking me if he could safely run a 100 shot (wet) without a tune. I've never run nitrous before so I don't have first hand experience. He's got a cam and upper and lower intake.

Shud'nt b a problem as long as he has a 255hp walbro in the fuel tank. Autolite 23s if he still has stock heads and set the timing at 8*.

jus make sure his he's gettin the proper amount of fuel..too much nitrous, not enough fuel will do some damage. He should be ok though..tuning will be always be safer

Dont need a tune for nitrous. Fresh plugs, premium fuel, and drop the timing back 2 degrees or so and he will be fine

fresh plugs yes, not stockers. since no tune run two steps colder ngk tr56s or similar to avoid blowin to pieces as the stock plugs might blow out.

i would pull 4* out of it. and that thing is going to be a pig on motor with no timing in it. get a timing retard and tune it. [ April 06, 2011, 11:22 AM: Message edited by: BlownSnake95 ]
