I'm pretty sure they have to be pressed out but I cut mine out cuz I was using some spherical ones

use a ir hammer with the chissle intalled an knock out them use the round chissle with a air hammer an a peace of wood

This is correct, by freezing the bushings the metal shrinks and will make them easier to install.
You can also warm the ears which will make the metal expand making it even easier, but ya gotta be quick.
To remove the bushings take a chisel and place the blade of the chisel along the length and collapse the steel shell inward and they will come right out.
