really? so youre guessing maybe 20hp more than just a regular 5.0 with boltons despite having heads that flow 65-75cfm more (225-230cfm vs 155-160cfm) AND an aftermarket cam??
stock 5.0 = 225hp
boltons = typically 245+hp
heads cam = 265-270?
sure that cam and heads aint the best ones on the market but i think theyd be worth way more than that. 265-270hp equates to roughly 225rwhp. too low IMO.

Youd be surprised; stock 5.0=215-220hp.
40hp gain with his additions.

youre trippin, 40hp with all the boltons maybe but not with the addition of the cylinder heads and cam. the heads are the major restriction in the 5.0

No not tripping. Seen it before. People will add shit together on paper and ASSUME that it will be the same once it is all slapped together. Guess he will have to get it dynoed and find out.

youre talking bad about ASSUMING while doing some assuming yourself though. What about that combo bothers you?

I'm not assuming anything. If you took the time to see what I wrote, you'll see that I stated, "People will add shit together on paper and ASSUME that it will be the same once it is all slapped together". I made NO assumtion.

Yeah, should have used a comma. 270-285 at the flywheel. Probably 240-250 rwhp.

Guessing, Opinionating does not mean assuming.

I don't anything about carburated setups, but my 91 with a stock bottom end 5.0 with Edelbrock heads (2.02/1.60 valves), Edelbrock RPM2 manifold, E303 cam, longtubes, full exhaust, smog pump & ac deletes, & a 70mm TB made 300 rwhp/320rwtq. This was also untuned with a 100% bone stock fuel system.
