car will not crank. Just did a complete tear down with fresh gaskets.

when manually cranking it I hit a dead spot and it stops. whats going on?

Car has power, when you try to turn it over all power dims as well

Adjustable rockers? Disturb any of the cam items (timing chain, etc)?

when you say dead spot do you mean when you was turning it over by hand it stopped at a certain point?
