i have a 2002 f250 7.3 liter.
when i let the truck idle for a few minutes the rpms go from normal 6-700 range to about 1000. and i hear a hissing noise, it sounds like its coming from the pass side of the motor. if i hit the gas pedel or tap the break pedel the idle drops back to normal. everything eles seems fine and the truck runs great.
any help would be great thanks guys [patriot]

it would be really hard for a powerstroke to have a vacuum leak

The only vacuum on that truck is an a storage tank that has an electric pump. Used for ac, and auto lock 4x4 hubs. Sounds like you have a silicon coupler leaking boost. Common for those trucks. Gotta clean the coupler and get the oil off before installing or it will just blow off. Pm me if ya need and more info.
