i was going to simply replace the battery tray in my 65 coupe. it looks like you have to pull out the bumper brackets to get to the bottom bolts. anybody know any way to do this WITHOUT doing that? thanks. bob

You should just be able to loosen the brackets and then use a open end wrench. That way you dont have to pull the lower valance. Put some masking tape on the front pan so you dont scratch the paint when you loosen the bumper bolts.

Probably easier and quicker to just pull the lower valance and those two brackets. You should be able to leave the bumper in place so you dont have to re-adjust it.

Not yet. Can't figure out how to post them anyway. I was going to try to figure out if someone could tell me what color it is. It isn't the original color and may not even be a standard color. I can email you a photo if you would like to have a stab at it. Auto Industrial Paint made me a couple of cans for some touchup work but I would like to know what the color is called and they can't tell me that.
