My idle started jumping from 500 to like 1200 when Its stoped it jumps up n down I think its something with the mass air not sure? Then when I accelerate u hear a deeper sound like if its escaping air kind of like a helacopter but lower what might it be

Could also be a vacuum leak or idle air control valve.

try cleaning out the IAC also.

kinda wierd but mine as i think the egr if im not mistakeing it just wasent hooked up and it jumped a lil...i hooked it up and no prob..lol..but correct me if im wrong bu worth a shot...

i was having the same problem so i cleaned out my IAC. below is a link that shows exactly how to do it. too bad that was not my only problem as i also have a vac leak [Frown]
