got my 88 gt back and itz fine for a while. i start to drive and then it will bog then start slowing down and turn off. sometimes i can be at an idle at a light and the idle will start to go up and down and then turn off. when the car shuts off i try and turn it back on but dont hear the fuel pump. i have to get off and press the fuel switch in the back, then it will start.

yea sounds like a bad inertia switch LOL

I would start with the fuel filter because it's the easiest, cheap, and if it has'nt been changed recently then it can't hurt. Next drop the tank and change the pump. If that does'nt fix it then change the the sensor on the distributer.

Fuel Switch issue sounds weird as to why pressing that would change anything. But I once ran into a similar problem with my old car, and swapping the Mass air out for a new one and cleaning the 10 pin salt and pepper plugs in the back fixed the issue.

I changed the inertia switch and nothing. Still same problem. What is weird is when the car turns off I don't hear the fuel pump now when I turn the key...could it be the fuel pump? I wanted to do the small basic stuff before dropping the tank and changing pump. Any input from the update? Thankz
