I emailed these pictures to trickflow and they say this is normal and not an issue. Each chamber is like this on both heads, same spot.

Yea, . They are not even a year old and have maybe 4,000 miles on them. Trickflow only warranties for 90 days from purchase.

I'm certainly no engine expert, but I'm sure that's not normal, nor is it good. I would have asked Trick Flow, if that metal isn't needed, then why is it there to begin with?

Seems like a design flaw to me. I didnt even notice it until I cleaned them up. The carbon did a good job of hiding it. They said it's typical for the seats to crack because they are not interlocking. They said the heads can also get small cracks in the little vane between the valves. I wont be buying another tickflow product. Have any of you ever seen this happen before? I was quoted $390 by a machine shop to fix the seats, valves, new guides and resurface.

i never had any problems with my tfs tw heads.. they were solid head.. i put 10-13k hard miles on mine and never had a problem..

I have had a few sets of TFS heads, love them, great power but I have had cracking around the spark plug area, I was told that was normal wear and tear. I didnt like the cracking so I bought another set.

It sounds like mine are just a one off situation. Maybe someone just didnt setup the machine right when they milled the combustion chambers out. I'm going to just clean the area up in between the vavle seats if the valve seats are okay.
