I just got my 347 finally running. Has a mild Anderson cam w/185 afr's. I checked the timing and was tuning the carb when I seen a water drop out of the oil pressure line from the block. I checked the oil and it had water in it. Drained the oil and it had a milky look to it. I'm having a hard time figuring out where the leak came from. The car never got hot enough to overheat. Car idles fine as well. Motor has low miles on it maybe 1k on it. Heads have been resurfaced and are flat

I used the felpro 1011-1 head gaskets. There's only reallyone way they go on. Are there different timing chain covers gaskets used on the sbf?

Cracked timing cover will cause it also.

the head gaskets will go on both sides fiscally. but there is only one correct way. and timing cover or lower intake, or cracked block or heads, did you have them mag for cracks before assembly?

Heads were magd and had a little material taken off to be flat. How would I detect a where the leak came from with tearing everything down

No valvetrain noise on start up. 3/4 turn after zero lash.

How would incorrectly adjusted rocker arms get water in the oil?

MOST LIKELY IT GOING TO BE THE INTAKE GASKETS DID YOU PUT SEALANT AROUND THE WATER PORTS BEFORE INSTALLING INTAKE

I used the edelbrock intake gaskets for a change with the thin black sealant around the ports and didn't run silicone along the water ports of the intake side. I always run a thin bead around the water ports but was told not to when I bought the gaskets. I have a strong suspicion this caused my leak.
