stay away from spec... from my experience i put a brand new stage 1 for my t5 installed myself correctly ive done a few and never had issues, but this clutch chatters like crazy feels like an earthquake when going into 1st or reverse from a dead stop. i broke it in properly i think they have poor quality control google spec clutch issues see what pops up. personally for your mods i would recommend the ford racing hd clutch it holds better than stock and ive never heard anything bad about them and the pedal pressure is much lighter.

+1 Tried and true centerforce here in the dark cherry coupe. Easy to engage pedal and good grab plus reasonably priced compared to the others. I just put a Mcleod disk and a centerforce pressure plate in the black coupe. With the adjustable cable, quadrant and firewall adjustment this pedal feel is even lighter than the all centerforce setup.

Zoom, ugh, good luck, a friend had a brand new Zoom defective right out of the box. I install Centerforce DF's and don't look back. Good luck.

happy with the spec stage 2 in my `89 (higher power), and the kind cobra in my `97 (stock cobra motor).

both have about equal pedal feel which is lighter than stock thanks to both cars having the full MM clutch quadrant/firewall adjusters/OE clutch cable setups.
