Was going to post in the ford tech section but its not a ford. Im trying to help my friend get her car back on the road. It runs but only if you play with the gas pedal and if you let off itll stall, Sometimes itll drive for a few seconds then stall again. Is it the fuel pump or is it something else? Im so stupid when it comes to carb'd cars

Check the fuel pressure first. If it's low, swap the fuel filter first, check pressure again. Still low? Flush the lines. Check again. Low? Change the Fuel pump.
If it's fine, go with a carb rebuild.
