just stick with stock displacement (302) getting it bore .30 over is a waste if you dont have to...

+1 i dont think you should go that far if the block doesnt need it. Just hone, new rings and seals, new head gaskets, top end gaskets, oil pan, timing chain gaskets, and wut ever mods you want. These blocks are pretty strong. Im sure im missing stuff.

Do you wish you had a 331/347 or that you hit on Turbo's wifey?

Last i check a 306 wasnt a stroker! lol Opening the bore is always a plus as it unshrouds the valves, especially on 2.02 valved small blocks.

really depends on what you want to do with the motor (ie freshen it or upgrade) and the condition.

LOL... I had to figure out how to make a 306 stroker. You'd need a 260 block (3.8" bore) with a 347 crank (3.4" stroke).

Dans doing mine now and if I can remember right I think it was 350 for short block and 450 for long block to fresh up your engine but if your engine had 300k like mine you'll need some machining which will add up. But really a cool cat to deal with.
