i'm tryin to find a relay in my 92 lx 5.0 convertible. i'm looking for the passenger side rear 1/4 window relay. the motor works because i tested it. when i press the switch for it to go up an down, it dosen't work. can someone tell me where the relay is. thanks in advance [patriot]

everything is plugged in correctly as well. i pulled out the switch on the driver side and checked all the wires an everything is plugged in.

switch? driver door switch? it's the relay but i jus cant find it.

But did you test the switch? Might be the relay, but check the switch as well.

Just because the switch rocks back and forth and all the wires are hooked up does not mean that the contacts inside are working as they should. Get a test light and check.

i clean all the components and still nothing. i noticed when i try to use it it draws no power from the battery. but it still can be the rely right? ... im so confused [Frown]

Well honestly I'm not familiar with that wiring diagram but it would be a good idea to get it. Find out if their is even a relay for it.. usually a window motor works by changing the polarity on it. So the position of the switch acts like a relay.. since u tested the component and went well test the switch and the switch tests good then chase the wires. But believe me if you get the wire diagram it will help out alott!

fixed it. cleaned the terminals on the switch with wd 40. works like a charm

For future reference, there isn't a relay. Power from the fuse box, to the switch...to the motor. That's it.
